Scaleway Expands Dedibox VPS to 52 Countries

Scaleway, the cloud services arm of Xavier Niel's Iliad Group, has expanded its Dedibox VPS offering from three countries to 52 markets worldwide. The announcement was timed to Vivatech in Paris. CEO Damien Lucas framed the expansion as enabling Scaleway to support European customers in international growth.
As reported by TelecomTV, the geographic leap to every major continent is not a standalone infrastructure play. It runs parallel to Iliad's September investment in an Nvidia DGX SuperPOD, the AI datacenter platform that signals serious compute ambition. Dedibox VPS targets VPNs, CDNs, and edge computing, services that require physical proximity to users.
Watch whether enterprise buyers adopt Scaleway as a European-sovereign alternative to US hyperscalers. The Nvidia hardware investment is the tell. Distribution now spans 52 markets. The question is whether AI workloads follow the footprint.
